The Avon Centre for Musculoskeletal Education is an initiative designed to facilitate the delivery of high quality teaching material to Orthopaedic surgeons in training. It was established in 2012 to co-ordinate a portfolio of post graduate courses drawing from 15 years experience. It has expanded to include a lecture series for individuals at more junior stages of their career and links to other activities including teaching in the developing world. It is principally web based with premises at University Hospital's Bristol and a faculty consisting of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeons with a proven teaching pedigree. The website provides easy access to a complete portfolio of courses, lectures and links to other educational recourses. The contents are frequently updated and password protected where necessary for good governance. We welcome constructive criticism to improve the content and delivery of this resource and contact details are included in each domain.
